What It Is
What Is The CGTMSE Loan Scheme?
CGTMSE stands for Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises. It was established to facilitate collateral-free loans to Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), enabling them to grow, scale, and overcome financial barriers in their early stages.
The scheme is managed by a trust which is a joint initiative of the Government of India and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). Banks and financial institutions receive a credit guarantee for the loans they offer to MSEs - which reduces lender risk and helps founders access a without-security business loan.
The scheme is a permanent government initiative and operates on a rolling basis. You can apply at any time through a scheduled commercial bank, RRB, or NSIC.
